PREVENTING FALLS THROUGH FRAGILE ROOFS
For work on fragile sheet roofs such as general roof maintenance, repairing or cleaning skylights and gutters are some of the tasks that require quick, easy and most of all safe access to roofs. A lot of industrial roofs for example are fragile and require special attention. Although skylights can be seen in daylight from below, the hazard is that they are often brittle and are hidden from view by moss and grime on the roof. If no protection is deployed, then accidents can happen. The Oxford Safety trellis mats on strong support frames prevent falls through fragile sheet material and brittle skylights.
GUTTER PROTECTION SYSTEM
Gutter cleaning is a very important part of the annual maintenance programme of your building. Clearing a blocked gutter is a simple process; though as it involves working at height, it does present some risks. These risks can be made safe by using a row of TreadLite system spars and mats, along each side of the gully. Handrails and safety barriers can be erected to suit access from scaffolding or other means.
One System including mat and frame:
- Open size: 1.9m x 0.64m
- Closed size: 2.44m x 90mm
- Weight: 17.5kg
- Maximum spread load for the mat: 150kg
NB: Open sizes are typical because each mat can be adjusted to the best rectangular shape to give the optimum cover for each situation.
