The system includes Barriers and handrails; these are deployed at the edges of the working area; these can be used to construct temporary walkways for safe access to a particular point on the roof; for example to repair a skylight or a chimney.
PREVENTING FALLS FROM HEIGHT WHILE MAINTAINING THE WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT
Facility management is an industry that looks after multiple areas to ensure functionality, comfort, safety and efficiency of the built environment by integrating people, place, process and technology. Falls are an ever-present danger in this industry. Working on high platforms, cherry pickers, ladders or any other raised area poses personnel risk. Running a safe operation is possible if the right equipment and training are provided to employees.
FRAGILE ROOF SYSTEM
The fragile roof system designed by Oxford Safety is a lightweight fall arrest temporary working platform. If work is required up on the roof, then several frames and mats can be deployed to cover the work area; this can then be disassembled and re-deployed for the next part of the roof. If the roof sheeting is strong, then falls through a skylights can be prevented by fitting steel spars across the purlins and locking trellis mats over them.
- Provides a lightweight fall arrest temporary working platform
- Constructed with strong tubular steel spars that span the roof purlins
- Designed for reactive works/full coverage works and edge protection
- Systems close-up easily to move and store and transport
