CoverSafe Access

The CoverSafe Access is an expandable access cover, designed to prevent falls down manholes and hatchways. Formulated with GRP material, it provides a robust, safe working platform, allowing work to be carried out on and around it. The access cover can be fixed into position to prevent it from slipping out of place, and is hinged to provide full access for materials when working in small spaces. The CoverSafe Access helps to improve efficiency and aids in meeting the HSE safety requirements.

Is the CoverSafe Access a permanent solution?

Yes, the CoverSafe Access has been created using GRP material which means that it's extremely durable and can endure most weather conditions. The access cover also has a hinged bracket which means it can be fixed with screws and left as a permanent or temporary solution.

What is GRP Material?

Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic (GRP) is a composite material made from a polymer matrix and glass fibres. By using two materials a strong compound is created, making GRP an extremely strong material. As a result GRP material has many advantages such as being lightweight, resistant against chemicals and erosion, waterproof, highly-durable and insulated to protect against electrical hazards.

Yes, the CoverSafe Access has a maximum working load of 150kg, and although it's designed as a cover, you can stand on it.
