Make Working At Height Safer

Building operatives can face many hazards; they may be at height, they may be above voids. However, work needs to continue to schedule. Our safety systems increase the safety of working at height - preventing falls inside roofs, down stairways, and provide work platforms above voids; all to meet safety concerns and regulations.

CoverSafe

CoverSafe Mats cover joists to form a stable temporary work platform to prevent operatives from falling onto the joists of the floor below, or even further. The mats are formulated with aluminium to create a lightweight but resistant fall prevention system that is adjustable in length and width thanks to our XSpan technology. They improve productivity when spreading the trusses out, nailing wind bracing, inspecting work, and any remedial tasks.

Where can I use the CoverSafe mat?

The CoverSafe is ideally used in the construction of timber framed houses when spreading trusses out, nailing wind bracing, inspecting works, and any other remedial works.

Our CoverSafe roof safety matting can also be used as a floor refurbishment mat to stop operatives falling through open voids in the floor.

What is the maximum working load of the CoverSafe mat?

The maximum working load of the CoverSafe mat is 150kg.

How do I work out how many I need?

To cover a full area, simply take your area in m² and divide it into 2.4 m. Round up to the nearest full number.

E.g. 48 m² / 2.4 m = 20 mats needed.

How heavy is the CoverSafe mat?

One mat weighs 11.5kg.

Are the CoverSafe Mats weather-proof?

Yes, the CoverSafe Roof Safety Mats are made entirely from aluminium, including the rivets, which means they will not rust or degrade easily.

Will the CoverSafe mats slip when laid out on the trusses?

No, the mats designed to interlock with each other and come with additional safety strap to secure to truss.
