Designed to bridge the gap that is created following the removal of the wooden cassette that covers the stairwell during the timber frame construction of a house.
Cassette Replacement System
During construction of a house, using the timber frame method, the first-floor ceiling will require a gap to be left to allow for the eventual route of the staircase. Prior to the installation of the stairs this void creates a potential fall from height hazard, that our StairSpan Bridge aims to remove.
The StairSpan Bridge
The system uses our standard StairSpan Frame together with specific mat and brackets to bridge the gap left by the removal of the wooden cassette during initial build phase.
The StairSpan Bridge protects workers from falling through this void, offers a safe working platform and allows ladder access to the floor above and below, therefore keeping workers safe and minimizing any disruption to workflow on site.
